Peake ReLeaf and Patients Unite to Aid Our Community

Since its inception, Peake ReLeaf has been all about serving our community.  Obviously, our primary mission is as a medical cannabis dispensary, with the goal of providing quality products and service to our patients.  But, we are also very much invested in helping to improve the lives of people in our community.  Despite being relatively well off, Montgomery County is home to many adults and children in need of nutritious food, clothing and numerous other basic items that many of us take for granted.  Our patients have had a direct role in our second mission, making donations of various items and receiving a 10% discount off non-sale items. Here’s a recap of how together we have shared our resources:

Last year, during November and December, we conducted a food drive for non-perishable food items.  With many of you participating, we collected quite a bounty for donation to Manna Food Center.  After helping to feed the body, we next focused on the mind.  This summer, we had a book drive that yielded shelves and shelves of a wide array of books, including children’s books, novels, non-fiction, cookbooks, as well as books in different languages.  Friends of the Library was the fortunate recipient of your donations. This fall, we have been collecting coats and winter accessories for children and adults, which will go to the National Center for Children and Families.

We will continue to have various collections for these and similar organizations and encourage our patient community to participate.  Your suggestions for organizations who might benefit from a collection are very much welcome. Thanks again for your contributions!
